The 49ers did not practice today. Neither did the Arizona Cardinals. Still, they had to follow NFL rules and submit an injury report for Monday's game.

UPDATE: Lowell Cohn changed his mind and decided to post the transcript of his interview with Jed York. You can read it all right here. Enjoy.

Here are some sacks-allowed stats from STATS, LLC. In the past, I've kept these stats myself, but I didn't have time to keep them this season. It is difficult to assign the blame on sacks if you don't know the design of the play. Certainly, J.T. O'Sullivan has been responsible for a good number of sacks this season, but here is how STATS assigned the blame:
Barry Sims 7.5 sacks allowed for 43.5 yards.
Joe Staley 7 for 48 yards
Adam Snyder 5.5 for 35 yards
Tony Wragge 4 for 23 yards
Eric Heitmann 3 for 20.5 yards
Jonas Jennings 1 for 5 yards
David Baas 0 for 0 yards

Also, here is the complete list of 49ers pass targets (with receptions in parenthesis) by my count:
Isaac Bruce 47 (23)
Frank Gore 45 (32)
Arnaz Battle 41 (24)
Josh Morgan 26 (11)
Bryant Johnson 25 (16)
Delanie Walker 11 (7)
Michael Robinson 5 (5)
Jason Hill 5 (3)
Zak Keasey 5 (3)
DeShaun Foster 3 (2)
Allen Rossum 1 (1)
(There are three passes that were either spikes or throwaways.)

Finally, Lowell Cohn interviewed Jed York this morning. Lowell has some quick impressions of Jed that he shared in his blog. But he's making us wait until the weekend to read what they talked about.
Lowell has the transcript of the interview on his blog, right here.

I'm very surprised at Staley's numbers. I'll take a closer look at him come Monday.
Matt, in your opinion, should the Niners draft a left tackle next year and move Staley back to RT?
I have an idea for your grading system. Instead of giving all categories grades, can you just make it the O line this coming game? I'd like a more in depth look and your opinion at how each O lineman plays his position.
Thanks and keep up the great work.
Be interesting to see a game-by-game (and DE faced) breakdown of Staley's performance. My sense is he had more problems early and is improving, but I'd like to see some hard numbers.
If we draft high and get someone like Oher, I would have no hesitation putting him at LT and Staley back at RT - Oher is quite a talent. But among our current wretched options, Staley is the best OT.
i think that if we get a high draft pick, we should draft m.crabtree WR texas tech. but if he is not available, i would agree with best available at dline or oline.
I agree that we need a premier OT 1st if one is worthy of a high pick, but do not
let Nate Davis slip from our early 2nd round pick, please I'm begging you 49ers.
9ers need a tackle and an anchor to that defense. Hopefully a qb falls to them in the 2nd or 3rd rounds.
The talk of moving Staley back to RT is pretty silly. His style is much better suited to LT. His sacks allowed are bad partly because Mike Martz is a ridiculous offensive coordinator, and partly because JTO is a ridiculous quarterback, and partly because Staley has been less good than hoped. Remember though, he's being asked to stop the best rusher on the other team for 5 seconds.
There is still hope for him at LT, but we need an offense that gets the ball out faster and helps the tackles better.
The truly appalling numbers are Snyder and Wragge. Thats a ridiculous numbers of sacks for interior line. Again, some of that is the offense and QB, but that many sacks inside is just mind boggling.
WE ARE GOING TO CRUSH THE CARDINALS OF MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL...yea GO NINERS...WE ARE BACK.....
I am with you on m.crabtree WR texas tech will solve our number WR receiver position for years to come.....if not available, we stay focus on the line.... Terrence Cody, DT, Alabama can really help us
wow Jennings is a beast...only one sack, sign him to an extension
haha
Sign D. Hall to a lower contract. See what he has left. He is still young and would be better with safety help over the top in the 9ers system. We need to get another CB with Spencer's ACL and Walt's age.
What safety over the top? Roman? He's a magician out there on the field and performs disappearing acts regularly during games.
Another poster stated that Hall is a cancer. I agree. We still have a couple of unproven young talent in Reggie Smith and Terrell Brown so the corner position is not in desperate need. That money could be saved for a stud NT or DT.
I agree with Terrence Cody. Dude's a monster and would allow the flexibility to run the 3-4 or 4-3. You know, without getting blown off the ball.
Terrence Cody is a monster........WHY WOULD ANYONE WITH A BRAIN WANT D.HALL ON THE NINERS?
Thanks for the breakdown. To be sure Martz's scheme causes problems for O lineman which makes it all the more insane Martz was brought in with a poor O Line. Which it is, and we better be honest with ourselves. Staley is better suited at right tackle. I don't know if he will be anything more than a good journeyman. McNolan over hyped him and I believe you never draft a Non Major College Football O Lineman in the first round. For your info he was the first player outside the big six conferences (ACC, Big East, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-10, SEC) or Notre Dame to be drafted in 2007. He selection of 28th made Staley the lowest first selection from outside the college game's power elite since the NFL-AFL merger in 1970. GET THAT? He was a typical over reach of McNolan. His move to left tackle was made necessary by Jennings who was a complete bust! Staley gets poor inside help and can be bull rushed and has been back into the pocket. It is no fluke he has given up 7 sacks but I don't blame him completely. They are just a poor O Line which needs to be a better unit. It was and continues to be the major problem facing the 49ers outside in order; owners, O Line, QB, receivers, D linemen, and safeties. Talent wise, the Niners are what their records reflects. Four years wasted with McNolan and unfortunately Gore is stuck with this team. Gore is a Monster Player and would be a super star and maybe a HOFer on a good team. Because of Gore we think we have a good blocking team. Nope, it's Gore!
