Coach Mike Singletary is scheduled to conduct his season-ending press conference today at 2 p.m.
There might be a question or two about Singletary's plan for the future of the 49ers' offense. Check back here some time after 2:30 for a recap of the press conference.

First...so Matt, How are you? And, since the season is over now, how often will you be posting on your blog?
I think the Martz firing was probably the right decision especially for the longterm. Hopefully the 9ers have a good idea whos on the board whether its from college or within the league. From what I know HC Sing is not a X's-n-O's guy so they ahould have someone from uptop to come up with something. Whatever NE is doing the 9ers need to find out. They always have players who step up in the depth chart and the O and D philosophy stays intact. Even when they lose players, coaches those guys dont tend to do great in a different system or implementing that system. The 49ers got a young coach and a young team president, so they should definitely build upon whats left of the solid foundation put in place years ago (Finish). Maybe they can put Jed as the 4th string QB?
Interesting that Tollner was released... Wasn't surprised about Tony Nathan though. At least Singletary kept Foerster. The OL play has been much better! Also glad to hear about looking at upgrading the safety positions.
Overall, I came away very impressed after hearing his press conference. It's on 49ers.com.
In Singletary We Trust.
I agree with you ninermaniac. Letting Martz go was the right decision. He wants to be a head coach again its only a matter of time before someone gives him another shot.
Singletary hasn't said anything about Alex Smith?
Matt,
Do you think Singletary will try to coach the Senior Bowl again?
