Niners special-teams captain Michael Robinson might see a more signficant role on offense Sunday against the St. Louis Rams, as he becomes the backup at halfback and fullback with Frank Gore out for a couple games.

Robinson is the subject of today's podcast as he discusses the changes he had to make with his eyes after moving from quarterback at Penn State to running back in the NFL.

.....Mrob finally unleashed......one of my main men

...about time

...la la la la la

If we keep the "taser" formation in the playbook; it should be M Rob running(or passing) it.

Well Robinson hasn't thrown a pass since he threw that one incomplete in 2006, so I don't think we'll see him making any throws over the next few weeks that's for sure.

Matt, if we assume for a second that Crabtree will not sign - what is the best case scenario for the 49ers?? Some (Kevin Lynch) are saying we could receive compensation from tampering charges and still trade Crabtree after March 1st for a top pick.

Escobar: I just don't see how that will happen. Any team that Crabs is traded to, will have to pay him out of this year's rookie salary pool, as I understand it. no team would have the money to pay him what he wants. Unless someone got insanely creative with the contract... Matt has pointed out how nobody sees how this can work out for Crabs by not signing before the deadline, unless his agent has a deal in place for next year's draft. But of course that would be major tampering and the league would be forced to do something drastic, as it would essentially nullify the point of a draft. And I can't see the other owners going along with that.

maybe he should replace hill and play QB.....
