Good Salads?

Postby miss beverly on Fri Mar 27, 2009 2:15 PM

I am in search of an everyday restaurant that has good salad. i went to an otherwise good american restaurant recently and ordered a cobb salad. The thing was gross. First- old school anemic lettuce and deli turkey - yes TURKEY? huh. Then the dressing was gross bottled italian or funky, seemingly shelf stable blue cheese. It so hard to understand how a restaurant that otherwise seems to serve up tasty fare could not put together a fresh salad, literally all the ingredients are already in use in the restaurant -anyways this turned into a rant . I have had a few nice salads at rosso- but Id like to have more choices. HELP!

I like Checkers on 4th St in downtown Santa Rosa for salads. Also, Mac's on 4th serves a great shrimp louie at a very reasonable price.

Believe it or not when I want a really good salad I go to Fresh Choice in the Santa Rosa plaza and make my own. Their soups are really delicious too.
