Taco Truck at Santa Rosa Saturday Farmer's Mkt.

Postby Wojamo on Sun Feb 08, 2009 11:15 AM

I seem to remember someone mentioning this before, but I just had food yesterday mid-morning from the taco truck at the Santa Rosa Farmer's Market. I was blown away! We got a shrimp tostada and two tacos to share and everything was delicious and flavorful and all of it was $10 and was enough food so that we ended up skipping lunch altogether. What I'm wondering is- what is the name of this taco truck and where are they normally "parked"? I wish I had thought of it at the time, but I forgot to get that info.

I'm not going to be able to give you any useable info, but I saw your post a while ago and just happened back to see if there was a reply yet so I could find out what their name is. My wife and I had a fish taco and a chorizo taco and they were great! I love to push people who do something well, and they certainly do. I'll be sure to respond again if I get back there and remember to get the name and ask where else they are. Those truck guys usually have a few hangouts. Have you tried La Palapa on Lewis off Menocino (it's Steele Lane west of Mendo, Lewis eastbound)? They have some excellent stuff. I highly recommend the "Terminator" burrito. OMG!!!

The taco truck is called El Cache. They consistently put out awesome food and the fish tacos are hard to beat. Not sure where they are normally parked but on weekends they are at the Santa Rosa and Windsor farmers market.
