Holy Mole!

Postby BiteClub on Thu Dec 11, 2008 8:22 AM

A BiteClubber has been hounding me about mole. I've had a few, but they've mostly been really disappointing meals of grisly chicken and flavorless brown sauce. Anyone know a good spot? I've heard Lola's has some good stuff. Tip me off if you do.

Yes! Chicken Mole enchiladas from Mi Pueblo in Petaluma are the closest to the ones I've had in the Yucatan. Absolutely fabulous!!

I had really great chicken mole at the Mexican place in the shopping center in Larkfield...I don't remember the name of the place, but it's on the North side of the shopping center, around the corner from the supermarket. Another customer tipped me off about it, and I ordered it, and he was right! It has been a while since I've been to that place, so don't know if it's still good, but worth checking out.

Try Lolita's Mexican Market on Lakeville in Petaluma. Good mole sauce, and great prices.

Pepe's on Sebastopol Road is pretty good. I also have a recipe that I can send you for a great, easy mole. It freezes well, so I usually make a double batch for a quick dinner option down the line. Let me know!
