Last night Iggy and I went to the movies and saw the Watchmen. I heard it's the best graphic novel and we were eager to see it. But, after serious discussion we give it a low "C."
The special effects were terrific but the story was hard to follow and we never could figure out what point the movie was trying to make -- or even if it was making a point. We called it "phony profound." Also the acting was no big deal. Compare it to "Dark Knight" and there's no comparison.

I thank you for your insights and the fair reporting between the Giants and the A's. The last decade even though the A's have had far superior teams the reporting is always slanted toward the Giants. Also, mark my words the A's will have plenty of pitching to contend.
The graphic novel made a lot more sense in the 80s when it was released. Now the story especially as told in the film just does not seem very relevant. Also, thanks for the coverage, looking forward to a Giants season that at the very least will be more exciting than the last 3 years.
