I just read your column and was ill. Almost as ill as the day we spent all that money on Zito (not even an everyday player). I fire Sabean on that alone...and I'm not kidding. Someone should "twitter" that.
It's not news that Zito is a classic multi-million dollar talent with a ten cent head. He's the guy who was young and fearless who could walk in yankee stadium when the Yanks were the Yanks and handcuff them for 9 innings and he's also the guy who showed up at spring training with the biggest contract in baseball and announced he's changed his entire pitching motion. But he's exactly who he's always been and the Giants and their fans should never have expected otherwise. I'd rather that he blither on at Twitter than jerk with his wind-up again!
Give the guy a break. I mean, if he's thinking about sun tans and tacos while he's pitching, or while he should be preparing to pitch, obviously that would be a problem. Otherwise, who cares?
The word "tool" comes to mind.
