Just sent in my column re: the draft lottery, a big joke in its own right. It was an even bigger joke for the Warriors. They began the day with the 7th pick and ended up where they started -- 7th.

So the day was a nothing just like their season. They surely must make a trade because they won't get much out of this draft and Nelson can't stand rookies anyway. They need a power forward and a small forward and a point guard -- they need a point guard because Monta Ellis can't play point and Nelson knows it. They need a lot. LOST BLOG -- You posted new blogs too soon, before I could chime in on those guys beating up JaMarcus Russell. I wanted to agree with them about that dunderhead but no chance. Mr. Cohn, maybe you could periodically put up a blog for your loyal readers to use to respond to now-disappeared items. Please tive this idea consideration. Thanks.

If you go to the main sports page of the PD online and click on Cohn Zohn it will give you many of my most recent entries and you can respond right there. Hope this helps.

Lowell

I love being in the Chon-No-Spin-Zhon!!

Lowell, this team really needs to draft a competent GM, and then trade Cohan and Rowell for a point guard. Big Nellie can then be unloaded for the power forward that is also needed. This team is going nowhere with current management in place. My niece can run this team better.

Just as big of a joke is currently playing out in Warriorland.
When will the Warriors be participating again in the NBA playoffs ?? Could it be the year 2015 ??
They are doomed to be a perennial lottery team for several years to come.
With that said...I want to admit that being a Warrior fan led me to short-change the rest of the NBA during the course of the regular season. I literally pouted about basketball and I did not watch enough of the other teams play.
Now that the playoffs are winding down, I have learned to appreciate the NBA, because the remaining four teams look awesome.
Here are some quick takes;
LeBron James looks and plays like a cross between Michael Jordan and Karl Malone.
Carmello Anthony is really good. Was his improvement due to his haircut ?
Where did Hedo Turkoglu get his new found upper body ?
Did he borrow some steroids from an MLB superstar ?
Finally, I am happy for Mikel Pietrus. It looks like he is playing with confidence, and it must be nice playing for a coach that knows how to handle his players.
