At today's presser someone asked Tom Cable about having an anger management problem. He said he'd refer questions like that to the statement he issued -- he didn't punch his first wife, he had said; he slapped her after he found out she committed adultery. The first wife says she didn't commit adultery and said he did hit her.

It was the right question for the reporter to ask and although he maneuvered out of the situation, Cable never answered the question. You wonder if he has an anger management issue. You wonder if the Raiders are investigating him or if the league is. If they aren't they should be.

Do you think he has a problem controlling his rage? To read my column on Tom Cable click here.

Who says he has rage problem? Lowell, why are you bustin this guy's bawls? I thought you were against the mob mentality?

Rage problem or not, he defintely doesn't know how to keep his hands to himself.

Typical bully IMO.

Al should fire him immediately...which is why he'll probably be around for the rest of the season.

GO NINERS!!!

*ALOHA*

Captain Black, I think the whole world is saying he has a rage problem. And out of anyone in the NFL right now, Tom Cable would be my prime candidate to bust balls. He's got a quarterback who doesn't care that he's awful, a 2-6 record, and a whole bunch of people who say that he's punched them. As a public figure his particular balls need to be beaten to death.

The media IS the mob Cpt. Black. And I think there's more smoke than the 91' Oakland hills fire Lowell.

Here's a thought, take some of Cable's anger and manage it on that dinosaur Al Davis, maybe they'll get lucky and get two birds with one stone and finally take Davis out of the picture and fire Cable for assault. That would make a lot of people very happy, including most I know who bleed silver and black.

Nikko, please! Al said JaMarcus is great but his play has not been great. Al has always been slow to admit a mistake. Maybe JaMarcus was a mistake, or error in judgement. However, he has little talent around him and I blame Davis for that. Finally, Cable has not once been charged with a crime, but you imply that he is guilty. I hope you are never accused of something publically and judged by folks like you. If you are, think back to this conversation. You might as well pack your bags for San Quentin, screw the trial. The mob finds you guilty. I think I saw this once in a Twilight Zone episode.

Another liberal lynch mob. Hey, maybe Rush is behind all of this too...God, grant me the strength to forgive ignorance.

Hi Lowell

I think we all need to be careful here. Cable looks the part of the brute. All stories against him appear plausible because of it. We all believed the talk about him breaking the jaw of an assistant.

Why? Because it isd the Raiders and Cable fits the sterio type.

Fact: after all the BS about the assistant. There didn't appear to be much there. But Cable reputation (bad) was established.

Now, after 20 years, an X-wife chimes in about physical abuse. He said (slap)...she says (punch). Back then the police investigated and said no laws were broken. Translation: the police are saying she was wrong.

Then an x-girlfriend who just doesn't seem to like the guy.

Hell I don't like the guy. But, put yourself in his shoes. If you were accused of something and were innocent, wouldn't you want the truth, the rule of law to come out?

Or would you succomb to media attacks?

After all these years are the women looking for money now that Cable is making 'big bucks'? A lot of ex-wifes and girlfriends want to 'still' stick it to the guy. It's been this way in the US for many, many years.

The media attack on Cable was wrong regarding the assistant. I didn't hear appologies. Is this latest hit on Cable an attempt to still 'prove' they were right. What a bunch of......

Lowell? Do you think that Al Davis is so smart that his plan is to keep Cable around because Cable's life problems keep the sports writers asking questions about his coach instead of Davis' lousy team!?
Seems like Al would think this way! Just a thought!

DennyPat + CaptainBlack... Very well said!

Mr. Roberto, go back to the Niners section, because you are apparently oblivious to what the Raiders organization is made up of. It doesn't matter who the head coach is, Al Davis is and has been calling the plays. Cable should stand up for himself you say? Kiffin will tell you all about that and where did he end up? Ahh fired... Cable is Davis' puppet. He is doing exactly what he is told and he is getting the blame for JaMarcus, the awful record, and now this stupid media crap. Give the guy a break! Just like DennyPat was saying, 20 years ago, when Cable was no where near a headline, and didn't have a dollar to his name, she could care less. But now that he is being shot down for this Hansen business, she wants to push the knife deeper and try to bury him.

And Cohn. I read your piece in the PD today, and I think it's funny that you point out how Cable looks like a guy delivering a keg to a frat party, when you look like you were burried 6 feet under 10 years ago. Dude, the comb over isn't working anymore.

Getting under your skin?

Clearly your powers of observation are inferior. I don't have a comb-over. I am unabashedly proud of being bald and never try to hide it. Next time I'm on TV, and you're not, take a good look. Lowell
